Done some searching but cant find any new/relivent information.

Just about to replace the rear 6x9 speakers in my TJII VR-X. My qustion is, what is there on the market currently that fit nicely into the parchel shelf. Currently the 6x9's I have use a space so they dont touch the boot sping. I want a set of speakers that I dont need a spacer so I can fit the factory speaker grills back in place so it looks all neat and tidy.

I know Pioneer made some back in the day, but I can find model numbers or any info.

What's your budget and what type of speaker are you looking for? Most cheapie 6x9's fit with ease if you just want rear fill. I use Digital Designs (DDCX6.9 from memory) in the rear of my car, literally JUST clear.

Budget im not to worried about, altho I dont want to go too far over the top. I think I have JBL @tm but they dont even come close to clearing.

If you arent running an amp, no point dropping in huge 6x9's.
Perhaps Hertz might make an efficient little 6x9's you might nett some good results out of.
