QFM are good. You will have people say that you can get better brands at lower prices but it all depends on personal preference. Mal has been using different brands and found these guys to be the most consistent. Plus, its hard to come by AWD pads and he tends to be one of the few who has them in stock

xboxie: It depends what you want them for man. For general street use, they'll be good. For mountain blasts you might want something different, and track work, again something different.

Awesome guys thanks im after them for my upcoming track day 28Jan
I found the Lucas-TRW pads good for road & the odd track day. Quite dusty though!

Are they being used on stock rotors? If so, something from EBC might be better suited. EBC Green or Red maybe. If you're using some DBA 4000 rotors or the like, I'd probably go with some Ferodo DS2500's.

I have used the QFM HPX pads on my Legnum (which is the exact same brakes/pads as AWD magna) on a track day doing 3 hot laps at a time on a ~1m30s track.. and they performed very well.
standard rotors, standard brake lines.. they got a bit spongy but still stopped perfectly fine.
they are a bit dusty but i like them alot.
only $80/axle too. bargain compared to the EBC pads which are over twice the price.

I did the rotor and pad change 12 months ago to QFM pads, they are less dusty and less noisy then what was in there originally. (ex cop car so I suspect Bendix Ultimates). I have found the QFM pads alot better. Just did the Clyde mountain pass in a long convoy with a very full car not a hint of over heating, (unlike the noob behind me).

Lucas - TRW are a great pad but noisy and dusty as hell
The QFM are pretty much nil dust, they will handle the odd track day no worries. YOu need to be careful you dont over do the pads as if you are only doing one track day and mostly street driving the HPX will be ok, if you are doubtful try perhaps the A1RM BUT like the TRW they are noisy and dusty as well

I had bendix ultimates all round on my AWD which were great even though dusty. Dust is a small price to pay for good pads. Gone the qfm hpx all round with stock rotors and found them to be no where as good all round as the ultimates. Still quite a bit of dust but not quite as bad as the ultimates. Starting to get a few strange groaning noises under braking and the hot weather effects their every day performance and pedal feel. In my opinion the best all rounder with good high temp rating as well is the ultimates.

I'm not sold on that. Either
(a) My rotors wear really badly (possible, different car, probably rotors from japan), or
(b) Whoever you're basing that report off doesn't brake hard enough to justify using HPX in the first place :P
About to put a set of DBA rotors on, I'd be curious to see how the dust will compare, especially since they'll be slotted.
This is 2 weeks since last thoroughly cleaning the wheels with a cloth on every outward facing surface, but in fairness, my brakes always get a good workout. Ralliart Magna Enkeis on my Legnum. Also in further fairness, I chewed over 2/3rds of my last set of HPX fronts in 6 months, with 1 track night about 20 laps.

I've been using DBA slotted with HPX pads for about three months now and nil dust.
Admittedly I rarely brake hard.

My wagon has HPX all round with RDA rotors, no rotor wear and many have seen how hard I drive my car often and again no dust, have not washed my wheels in months as I am changing them soon anyway
As for performance, I have Ultimates with the 380 front end, were noisy, dusty and in general I was so glad to take them off after about 7k and throw them out.
