Hey guys,

Wanting some info on the correct method to pull the inside door panels off? I don't wanna break any tabs, no idea how to do this. Reason being is all four windows are quite slow to go up and down and the driver's window squeals on the way down but not up. I have some lithium grease but yeah, need a step by step to follow. Who has done this?

Cheers,
Jake

This LINK (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65836&highlight=) here will give you the basics with pics to take your door trim off.
To do the runners, you will see a central runner and towards the front you will see another that the window slides down in.
Central one, the runner faces the door skin and the front one you can see, make sure the window is up and simply grease or spray the runners. Then power the windows up and down to spead it out evenly and put the door back together.

1.Remove inner door handle trim/surround....pull back handle to reveal screw....unscrew..lever out inner trim to front of door

2.Get a small cloth covered screwdriver and carefully lever up your power window switch to take it out and disconnect the loom

3.Look into door puller and you will see a small tab, remove with a small screwdriver to reveal a large phillips screw..will be tight

4.At the front of the trim is the air vent, remove black screw.

5.As yours in a Verada and has tweeters,l have found it easier to remove the tweeters to allow more clearance when lifting up the trim,so..lever out the tweeter carefully...will remove upwards

6.Reach under the door trim and you will find a sort of cut out....grab the lower trim from here and pull gently.you will feel the resistance where the clips are ,if you want ,look under and lever close to the clips with a large screwdriver.

7.Work you way around the trim on three sides until all clips are unclipped.

8.When the trim is free from the clips ,pull out trim slightly at the bottom and look up to see where the courtesy light is and twist off the bulb holder

9.Slightly pull out the bottom of the trim and give it a wack in a upward direction to loosen it from the top of the door....

Whilst all care is given in providing these instruction ,you do so at your own risk, this is just a guide to help you out..others may have different steps and ways of doing it,but ,meh

Installation is the reverse...place the trim on top of the window channel and gently tap it down to sit it on the channel...

Got this far. Snapped three tabs apparently lol, didn't realise til I saw the blue things. Won't be doing this too often! Anyway, what do I do now? I can see where the rail is and it's caked in crud, how do I get this bit off so I can get easy access to the rail?

Undo the 4 screws that hold the inner grab handle bracket in place and slowly peel the plastic off the sickaflex, then you can get access to the center rail. Once you have greased that, put the plastic back on the sheet and put the bracket back on.
Next, unscrew the baffle plate that the speaker is attached to and unhook the speaker and place it in the car, you can then reach inside with your hand and grease the front rail, then operate the window to evenly lubricate the rails.
Put the speaker baffle back on and reverse the process to put the door trim back on.
With the broken clips, go to the wreckers and grab a handful as spares.

The reason for doing it this way is that you won't have to take the chrome door handle off, as it can be a bitch to put back on.

Cheers, that totally worked! But introduced a new problem.

Too much window action, not enough starty the car. :P
Have to get the RAA out tomorrow to give me a jump :D

Cheers all! I'll apply the same process to the other doors when I have more juice.

EDIT: Also the trip flashes 'S' for some reason.

That's flashing S has to be sorted it's from the battery running flat.
It stands for Sedan, you have to set the computer so it knows if you have a sedan or wagon and a 3.0 or a 3.5.

Got it started last night after leaving it for several hours and giving it a go with as many lights/things off as possible in the freezing cold. Came to life and I let it sit with the engine on in the driveway for twenty minutes or so. Should be sufficient to get it enough charge for me to start it tonight and drive it around for a while now I'm on my P's to fully restore the battery. Close call though!

Make sure you use lithium based greese as well, if you use normal stuff they will jam up pretty soon

Yep lithium grease is exactly what I'm using.
