They will handle a pair of splits ran active plus a woofer.

Or full range 5 channel setup, just the thing for 380 VRX/GT OEM deck, you supply the amping for 4 speakers and a sub.

I want to make the most of the 4 channel I have, 2 are unused ATM. Running an active system would really work (hopes) and I'll get a bit a bit more control of the monster that lurks in Boot..

Feedback?

So you dont have to look, the gear I play with.
JVC DECK - Burr Brown DAC's
Alpine 1200 WRMS and 600 Watt JL 13.5" W3
Alpine 4 x 150 WRMS and Focal KR2 6 n 3/4 splits.
I've already ran the wires to go active (two pairs a side Boot to F/Doors)
I know the amps amps are overkill, but better to have some in reserve and run clean than stress a component.

The catch, no auto setup, The JBL MS-8 will do the same thing, but setup takes 5 mins, the audison, I will tinker for ages = divorce lol

I have a H701, Alot cheaper by todays standards and will do a whole LOT more then the audison. All digital aswell which means no manual adjustments. Well worth looking into

Do I need to buy anything else to go with the Alpine....

What is the interface (GUI) like.... How do you set it, supplied controller??? PC via USB????? Do I need an alpine h/u????

Depends, you can buy the H701 with just the processor or you can buy it witht he rux controller aswell. If it is going into your JVC you will need the RUX controller.

The GUI is really good on a double DIN unit, on the rux it is pretty good aswell

So I need some thing else as well, thats alpine, I wont have this car forever, so a unit that can do OEM units will be a real advantage.
I will not look at alpine deck as they are just too costly, blue tooth addons, audessy Mic addons, Rux controllers, this model will only go with that.... Pass....Sounds like the sony of old....

Is it auto setup with the RUX and the Processor???, High level inputs....????

The RUX can be included with the H701, it depends on where you buy it from really. Has high level inputs etc aswell as auto configuration with the microphone and software

I've got an RF 360.1 sitting in my cupboard if you want to do the same thing on the cheap. I bought it for a mate who never used it, he wants $250 for it.

I'll look into it, it would be Version 1 I would assume, as long as it has about a 30 Band EQ and can handle active 2 way splits and woofer...It sound like a good deal...
Get back to you shortly.....

You don't need the H800 for what you are looking at. Have a look on ebay etc Should be able to pick up a H701 with RUX for $300 and under. Really good value and the features are amazing which is why i looked into them. Shop around and you can get yourself a real bargain. Quite a few of my SQ friends use them

PM peaandham also on here. He competes in SQ and uses a H701 also
