Hi guys, brand new her and would firstly like to introduce myself, didnt see an intro section so will do a quick one here before i get on to the problem.

my names sean, im from ireland and im in australia for 6 months travelling. I bought a 94 magna Tr last week to get me around, I wanted to stay mitsubishi as i also have a white evo 7 waiting for me at home when i get back.

the car has been going fine so far but noticed yesterday that the outer boot on the drivers side must have ripped/torn as the grease is everywhere. Im currently in Melbourne and will be here until tuesday, possibly wednesday. Basically im looking for somewhere close to me to get this sorted before i head off again as i dont want the joint to seize up.

Does anyone know of any garages worth going to, that wont rob me in the west melbourne city area, ( hawke st, 3003).

Any help or adise would be greatly appreciated, i would normally do this kind of stuff myself at home, but have nothing but a bag of clothes with me.

also there is a bit of a hum from one of the back wheels between 60-80kms, ive read on the net that its not generally the bearing and that sometimes the brakes have been known to stick on these cars, anyone able to advise on this also?

the car has 152k on it and has a good service history.

thanks guys, and forum looks great with lots of info :mits:

ps. sorry for the essay.

thanks for the welcome and reply mate, i will most likely be heading out the great ocean road towards adelaide. Will have a look for mitsfix now, how much do you think a regular garage would charge? ive read the shaft has to be moved, is this true? is it quite labour itensive?
