I have LPG also, and ive had no end of trouble with check engine lights, stalling and loss of power, and that is with standard stock engine and exhaust. Mitsushitti dealer didnt even know wtf was going on with it. Theyre solution? Reflash computer but still didnt do anything.
If you start dicking around with an already fickle system, you'll be in a world of pain.
Try eliminating the problems, if you are able, put the standard rear can back on, or the stock intake see if that solves the problem, it may be that the gas computer system needs to be recallibrated for the absence of back pressure. Take it to the monkeys at the stealership, see if they can do anythign with it.

Kosta I think your prob right i never thought of gas computor system recalibration.Rear can back on is back to nomal! Stealership waste of time with any LPG matters as they tell me not factory gas even though fitted when car new before sold. ive been told soon as battery gets a little flat and car turns over to many times can set engine light off. My lpg filter glogged up set off engine check light as car was rough idling and stalling cost me $195 for service. Not Dearlership as they told me they send it to gas place.

I had my gas (fitted by impco in SA, but approved system) retuned in NSW by "the gas man". He slightly reset parameters (by plugging computer into gas ECU) and running very nicely now, with about 5% fuel economy improvement

I would be trying to get hold of the rep for the company that manufactured the System, they will tell who the best tuner is..... Tell him you are prepared to travel, and the system or the tune is shite, and its the worst thing you could have done to the car......But be nice to him....
See where I'm coming from, hopefully he'll try to prove to you the system is the best on the market, and he'll find you the best tuner.....
Good luck Mate....

I wouldn't expect the exhaust system on a car to perform or sound the same on LPG and petrol, gas burns at a higher Temp, so the hotter gases have more volume for the same RPM.
Not sure how much 'actual' difference it makes.. But when a magna with headers makes a rough extra 6 kilowatts, and a 380 with headers makes a further 20 kw... That does suggest a rather restrictive system..

Spoke this morning to my Adelaide brother who has business making OEM parts for LPG conversions
He suggested ring IMPCO head office in Melbourne and ask for advice re competent tuner in Adelaide
Which aligns pretty well with Shoot's comments

I'd still ring the rep, the H/O has a list of dealers, but the rep for the area knows who has problems and who doesn't.

:facejump: Berklee back on running perfect more power, sounds good using same L per 100 as petrol 12.3 city av. Rang IMPCO asked who has software etc in Adelaide and recommended.Told Croft LPG Mile End took car in found had gas leak hose where goes on to injector rail. Leaked a lot when cold i also think was on hard acceleration also. I still dont know why seemed worse with berklee before. Very Happy Fixed haven't taken for long cruise yet.

Speaking of lpg, is anyone else p&*&ed off by the sudden 20c increase in the price of lpg? Is that in all states or just qld? There would be riots if there was a 33% jump in the petrol price!

Same in NSW
Being blamed on contract price in Saudia Arabia - driven high by cold winter and supply uncertainty
Seems like a rip off given that we produce our own, but the oil companies are good at that!

Same here in Qld, The odd place will discount down to 75.9, but not often.
Before it was rare to have two places the same price, now, its widespread.
All happened when those supermarket chains started 8 and 16 cpl discount dockets....
When will the ACCC pull their finger out and do something about the price fixing...
Its been going on for years, its just hard to prove....Fair competition, not likely....it needs to be discounted back at the SuperMarket, not at the Pump..

Good to see a CEO taking charge lol:
"Mornings spoke with Mr Michael Carmody, CEO of LPG Australia for an explanation."
[He said] "My recommendation would be to go to the service station and see why it's occurred."
I did that actually,
Me: "Why the big price hike for LPG"
Attendant: "Um, I dunno"
Me: "Everyone else was doing it?"
Attendant: "Yeah probably"
Wish I had a voice recorder on me, get that shit to the ACCC lol

I went for drive around Adelaide today i saw LPG 90cents per litre bloody disgrace. I think government trying to get money back from rebates for conversions. That's my theory as well as petrol stations trying to get rich. I saw 1 BP 75.9 about 3km away you have to wonder.
