amc, i know the whole lighting topic is done to death
and i have done a search for everything as well.
but not much info on the parkers.
im planning on getting Narva +100's in the H1 + H7 for my verada, but there will still be the ugly yellower light from the parkers below.
they are spose to be a "h5w" bulb according to the thread that is about all the bulbs.
where i can be a white producing light bulb to fit the parkers? i have read that there is a h6w bulb that phillips makes but no where ive been to can find it on the lists.
any ideas, thoughts etc?
thanks amc

White LED's is what most people use for the parkers.

My Magna stock headlights appeared to have a simple t10 connector for the parkers, I assume yours will have the same? If so, just whack some white LED's in. Preferably one with SMD's on the side of the light, not just the tip, like this:

those would suit my interior which ive done.
but its a larger bulb. it needs to be pushed in and turned to lock it into the socket.

Yeah, bayonet. I've noticed a few light sockets around my car are a t10 socket. Parkers, internal lights of course, numberplate lights. If I had of known, I would have purchased t10 LED's in bulk :P

Also check how far the bulb sits above the mount, there may or may not be some plastic that it has to protude past, I got some LED blinkers for my wagon's tail and found that the side-emitting LEDs were masked by the plastic mount, as they start directly above the metal bayonet body when in reality it needed at least 1cm more space to clear the mounting plastic.

Just letting you know that the Narva +100s are unlikely to be a 'white' light. They'll be a little whiter than standard, but they're not going to be a cool white like white LEDs are. You'll probably be able to get away with your stock parker bulbs. Or even a set of Philips 'Bluevision' bulbs, if they make them for your size - again, they're a little whiter than standard, but they definitely are not a cool white.

On that note, more and more LED chip manufacturers are now offering various temperatures of white, usually generalised as cool/neutral/warm, so hopefully in the not-too-distant future you'll be able to buy pre-made bulbs to match whatever headlights you are running. But currently the vast majority of LED bulbs are still "cool white" of sorts; that said, there are quite a few warms showing up if you search ebay for "ba15s warm (http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=2&_nkw=ba15s%20warm&_dmpt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m283)", none for "neutral" though, which would probably be more the correct colouring.
That said you can experiment with "warming up" a cool bulb (at the loss of some light) by applying a thin coat of transparent yellow paint, such as the Tamiya toy stuff. Depends on the LEDs used though, some may not like it.
