Hey guys, does anyone have photos of a magna/verada with 16 inch falcon chasers on it? and are they a straight fit.. i have searched the net and this forum and found a lot of conflicting info.. i have seen something about having to grind some of the calipers off or something.. i know that the centre hole is too big and the studs take all the weight instead of the axle but thats an easy fix, im just worried about them fitting around the brakes without modification.

No they are not a direct fit, they need spacers.

Use 380 steelies and paint them silver instead.

Mags of a AU Falcon and on fit, cant comment on these fitting tho....
Dont like the way they step back though.....
380 and magna wheels dont step back in as much as they do..
Suck it and See....

As I said, they don't fit. They hit the calipers without spacers.

16x6.5, fairly easy to find. 380 ES did not come with alloys and they sold a bunch of them.

Do you reckon these will fit... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubishi-Lancer-Wheels-16x6-5-/160713110090?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item256b3f724a

Sorry about all the questions..

Can't say for sure, but they look very similar to the 380 wheels (got the size wrong before btw - since corrected it).

Why not just hit up your local wreckers and buy a cheap set of steelies off a Magna? What's the difference between magna or falcon steelies? They both look crap anyway :P Spray em silver and you'll never know the difference.

Edit: check this (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubishi-Magna-Wheels-/270894186637?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f128d408d#ht_500wt_1413) out - magna stockies starting from 99cents and in NSW. Offer him $50 and a slab of beer and you might get it for cheap.

I assume you already have the wheels. I wouldnt consider doing it. flog them and buy a set off a similar magna or verada. Also, yes they will hit the calipers and good luck getting spacers. Sorry mate its the brutal truth.

Apologies if it appears I'm hijacking the thread.

I noticed recently just before the Chrissy holiday drive that the spare on my VRX is a Ford 16inch steely. Didn't concern myself too much as I remembered that they shared the same PCD. Also it's just a spare to get me out of trouble. After reading this thread I'm not so sure as I don't want a wheel where the studs instead of the central part of the hub takes the weight.

So as its just a spare can I just pick up a cheap 15 inch steely from the wreckers?

I mostly wanted them because they were 16's not 15's... not really that fussed, just curious because i know a guy who would sell me a set with near new tyres for 150 and my tyres are getting pretty shit.. but on another note i did paint my standard verada rims gunmetal today.. nearly matches my paint perfect :D looks real good and strangely they look slightly bigger too, tinted all my lights too and painted my (broken) grille the same gunmetal.. im in the process of looking for legit chrome one that isnt stuffed. I'll post some pics up later in the "post your ride" thread..
