Hey guys,

I bought a used TF magna sedan a couple of years ago, and I've since found out that they're keyless entry capable. Found this listing on eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Mitsubishi-Magna-keyless-entry-remote-suits-TF-Magna-1997-1999-Sedan-/150733694892?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23186da7ac), but that seems a bit pricy for a tiny little circuit board and some buttons. Just wondering if there are any alternatives or cheaper ways to obtain them?

Thanks!

Hmmmz, the TFs used the oldschool looking remotes (as seen in ebay link).

The TH onwards used a newer looking remote.

They should all be capable of central locking, it's just a matter of getting one of the above remotes, or whatever version you require.. and then programming it to unlock your car. Which is also a very easy task.

Excellent, thank you, I'll have to give them a try.
I figured they either wouldn't have them because they're really old, or they'd be significantly more expensive (for the same reason).

Correct me if i am wrong but that 3 button remote is for the verada's. The magna's used a black, peanut shaped remote with a single black button. retail price is around $60.

Most TFs came with the 3 Button Remotes - Lock.. Unlock.. Bootlid - Black with Grey Buttons.

TH onwards I believe.. had the 3 button with green, red and white buttons.

Yeah, I also went to a MIster Minit key place (or a key place in that similar sort of style), they confirmed in their little book it said the 3 grey button version pictured here:

Unfortunately they wanted $90-something for it, which just didn't sound reasonable.
