Hey I need to get a cooling fan for my Diamante (Magna TJ I believe.) But I literally am having a hard time finding one here in the US. So my question is, since it's cold outside and I never run my heating or air conditioning really. Could I swap the fan motors? It's not really a question of is it possible, I'm just wondering if they both are essentially the same motor (heard it has different speeds on the cooling fan motor). My bearing is going out on my cooling fan and it makes my engine temp go up after idling a bit. Which I believe is hurting my gas mileage (16mpg = 14.3L/100km) Where this car is advertised at like 18 to 22 miles per gallon.
The only other thing that I can think of is the cap and rotor. I threw double platinum sparks gapped at like .40 I believe it said in my manual and I just replaced all 6 spark plug wires. Clean air filter and new fuel filter. New tires on it which probably isn't helping that much. I did take out the spare tire but I would think that would be a benefit for mileage due to less weight. Would throw it in again makes the car low but then again my front tires have been rubbin when I turn too. Maybe I need lower profile tires, thats what was on this before (not that much smaller though, they were Goodyear's that's all I remember.)
This really isn't a fuel economy thread, but the cooling system kind of leads to it. :P sorry.
