Hey ppl,
Ive got an 89 TN GLX, and am looking to buy an entry level system sometime soon, i will be installing it myself, but first would like to inquire about speaker fittings in my car.
First, is what is the best way to install some 6" speakers in the front
second, will i be able to install 6x9" speakers in the back,
any help will be greatly appreciated :) thanks

hey
the 6" the best place would be in the doors and as for the 6x9s me and a few others have done is take out the back seat then take out the parcel shelf and then cut the whole bigger in the car frame to fit the 6x9s then cut the parcel shelf aswell but i recommend buying just 6" for the back as the holes are there all ull need to do is cut the parcel shelf ur self which its a lot easer then doing that and cutting the frame

Cutting meat out of your parcel shelf is a BIG no-no.
Use spacers if you must use 6x9's in the back. If you plan to put subs in the boot, youre best off not wasting money on rear stage, and pitching in a few extra $$ on your front stage.

spacers look ****house, theres already a 6" hole there already it wouldnt affect if u cut it across just a few more inches so long as u do it right and file off the edges and use something to protect the edges as well

isn't it illegal to cut the body of a car without a engineers certificate
it might effect insurance or something
You can use a set of pro-pods for door mounting some decent 6" speakers because the 4" locations are quite bad. :(

The last Magna we did (which was last week) we simply installed pro-pods onto the bottom half of the door where the carpet is. See this image for an example (I know this is not a magna door but it shows the pod):
