Hi guys...does anyone know the paint code for the silver garnish used for the underside of the body and bumpers of the TJ Solara series? I've looked under the bonnet and, for the life of me, I can't see it...

There is no stamped paint code on the Solara.
But the colour is silver/platinum I think.

Thanks Timi!!! You are a star!

You'd laugh if you knew why I wanted the code!

Why...?

And I don't know which one is used for the silver highlights.

Okay...I rang Mitsu's EXCELLENT helpline...they then patched me through to a local spare parts unit who knew the code by heart...

For all you proud Solara owners the paint name and code is: PEWTER code: KX

Why I need the code...

Yesterday a mate of mine was visiting with his four year old son. Whilst mate and I were chatting four year old son discovers my lightweight mechanic's creeper on the floor with a old ceramic pot which the missus had temporarily parked on top. Little genius decides the creeper is a great push-car and pushes it...straight into the underbody of my beloved Magna. The result? A ten-cent piece sized nick in the pewter paint, one broken pot and a kid who couldn't work out why "uncle" looked so sad!
