I am trying to source a roll damper for my TP auto wagon.
The rego check mechanic tells me that it needs replacing for rego and I have tried to get one from a Mitsubishi dealer and I was told that they are on longer in the spare parts system.
Buying one from a wrecker could be dubious as to its condition. How would I test it ??????
Thanks in adv for any replies

the v6 TR/TS rear shock absorber is the same part
located on the rear of a v6 engine underneath
the 4 cyl one is on the front

i think i will have a good one laying around (at least it was 12 months ago when it came out of the car...). you can have it for what ever packing and postage costs.
i would imagine that they should be able to be compressed slowly and smoothly but not compressed fast, much the same as with a suspension shock. the workshop manual lists no testing procedure either. ill tell you tomorrow if i can find a decent one in the shed (i think there are 3 in total, including one from a v6).

Hi old magna sorry for the delay in getting back to you
If you can find 1 of the roll dampers I would be very happy to send you costs.
The 1 I have just removed from my car can be compressed and extended at a semi fast rate , much quicker than a norm shocky
I dont know how to P/M on this forum
