Hi guys
I find that my parking sensors are giving off a long constant sound when in reverse - regardless of what is behind the car - so they are not working properly. This has happened a couple of times in the last few years and the problem previously went away after washing the car. This time no such luck.
Does anyone have any tips on how to repair or get them working again?

Funny that, mine do the same every year once the temps get over 35o. As soon as it cools down they revert to normal. Mine certainly isnt any dirt build up.

I had same trouble in hot weather. I found one sensor was faulty. I found out by putting car in reverse not running but key on, then got long piece of wood waved past each sensor 1 at a time without going behind car. Found mid Left kept screeching constantly till i took out of reverse. I opened boot found control box LHS just above yellow petrol door release, then unplugged that sensor wire is all marked. Then tried with same procedure all others worked well. Then to prove wasn't control unit i unplugged mid right wire and plugged into mid left of control unit worked fine. After make sure put back in correct order( leave faulty one out till get another sensor) This worked for me Hope some help to others alternative Auto Electrician as Mecha-Wombat sugested

You are a champion thanks! I did exactly what you said and got all 4 sensors working. It must have been the wires to the control box not sitting correctly - as just pulling them out and putting them back did the trick. Thanks! :facejump:
