Arrgh
Did a mod on the weekend and ended up not looking clossely at the wires.
I removed the centre console dash ie above the vents and added some wires to the existing ones, the oil and battery light. problem is that I didn't take note of which ones were which so without some funny test proceedure I cannot work out which one is which. to light the panel there is a white wire and a yellow wire, they light the oil and battery lights but I do not know which one is which.
Can anyone help?

Your talking about the trip computer thing? Where the fuel usage readout is right?
Oil = Y = Yellow (Connector C-02, Pin 13)
Fuel = R = Red (Connector C-02, Pin 12)
...then B-W = Black with White stripe (Connector C-02, Pin 2) connects both to +12V
Battery warning? Not sure, but there's a constant battery connection to the center display = R-B = red with blue stripe wire (Connector C-02, Pin 1)

Nah sorry mate thanks for the help but I didn't give you enough info. My com is on the drivers console I need the wires that lead to the simplified display on the centre console. it just carries battery, oil and seat belt warning lights. Anyone help with these?
Driver on the main drivers console the LED lights are inside little recesses on plastic bit and attached (obviously) to the circuit board. What are your lights doing. Cause my car doesn't have TCP the bottom right LED is there for hand brake but the next two lights are missing and then the last light does security or something.
I want to know if I can re add LED to these two points and then use them as the Oil and Battery light.

Bart this may be it.
White = battery light
Yellow= oil
Orange = seatbelt
I'm looking at the other bit let you know later although I don't have the TJ think it's the same as my TH.

Exactly what I was after. Thanks for that pHil. :bowrofl:
I am interested in what other peoples digital consol is like.:cool:
I think I might have to use the tried and true multimeter way of working out if things work.:rant:

Don't think I can help with light ID as the TH is not the same or Ive misunderstood. (Bottom Right of inst cluster) The TH has from left to right Sec, Door, H/Brake, blank standard panel, Sec, Door, blank, blank, space, odo reset s/w on the other type (sports,verada).
Provided you can correct the display (oil/Batt)which is probably the hardest as it's etched in the facia for a sports isn't it?. Mod the cct board track or trace signal paths back to plug and splice oil/ batt to these wires or you may find that pin blank(option not used) thats the easy part.
As they say any thing is possible, tried spreading traffic jam on bread? :nuts:
so what does this mod do that you have done bart
