Hi guys its me once again. Ok so i have done a general service of the car oil, oil filter, coolant flush, new coolant and power steering fluid too.
Now i got to the last thing which was spark plugs and i was surprised to see that the spark plugs had oil on them and yes it wasn't alot but quite a considerable amount.
Then again the engine sounds fine and runs smooth. It blows a bit of smoke on a cold morning but apart from that im clueless.
Is this a bad thing and what can i do about it. I have just bought the car also so i hope this isn't a lemon.
Any Help is appreciated cheers!

Guessing that your car has done 200,000 kms +.
Problem is a simple known one. the O ring seals between the camshaft / rocker covers are now leaking.
You need 2 repair kits each containing O ring seals and a cover gasket.
Blowing smoke is most likely to be worn valve stem seals.
General advice, mine included is to use Penrite HPR10. This will reduce the smoke and oil consumption.

I would say the spark plug stem seals are gone, mine aren't the best but ill leave them till the next time I replace the plugs.
I gotta agree with Spud, my car has 360xxx kms + on it and HPR 10 seems to go well with no smoke being blown. However depending on how cold the air temp is then its to be expected.

ok update i have done the front 3 plugs. The one on the left has oil and the one on the right has oil. The one in the middle funny enough has nothing just normal wear and tear. I almost have the intake manifold of to get to the other three at the back near the firewall. will update on if they have oil on them.

You can order the kit from repco or your mechanic can have one ordered in. It is only a pack of rubber seals and a gasket so I would say sub-$100. Correct me if I'm wrong

I recently did this as well, for one set, which includes 3 rubber tube seals and a rocker cover gasket, it was only $30 at repco! Bargain! and only took all of 10 minutes to complete, wouldn't recommend doing it on a hot engine though..turns out they get hot and rocker covers arent nice on bare hands haha

ok guys thanks i got to the back three plugs and they are fine.Just in case i did the fix and replaced the rubber seals and got both rocker covers done. :D
Well, gu3rilla's posting made me get off my arse and do something about my wife's TF. I have had the seals for quite a while (thanks to Mal - good price, fast delivery), but have not felt up to the task of soing the dirty work. Today, I did... And I proved that I was NOT up to the task... Anyway, it has been done now and I am thankful for others posting their experiences - it helped me a lot.
Interestingly, both heads had similar texta markings to what has been posted before - LPG25. I had been told that this car was LPG compatible. This reassures me no end. I would post a picture only I am too dumb and tired to work out how to do it.

Hi Erad
Thats good to know :D. It wasnt that hard really just a pain to disconnect all the sensors and hoses and then put them bak on :D and only a 30$ fix.
You get a good felling fixing something yourself without some bogey mechanic doing it.

oh do you have to replace to intake gasket? because i did just to make sure!
gu3rilla: Strictly speaking, you should replace the intake gasket, but me being the tight arse that I am, I use a tube of silicon carefully spread over teh contact face - not too much or it goes into the engine (probably no real damage there).
Having done that job, I now face the same job on my Pajero. The Magna was hard because it is so low and my back still screams from the hours of work. The pajero is different in that you virtually have to start at the radiator and strip everyting out. Still, the experience I gained from the Magna will help with the Pajero.
