Just wondering what steps are involved in upgrading magna brakes with a kit, like this one on ebay.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/110657045833?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_1180

To me this is quite interesting, and i'd love to do it myself. Please tell if u think the kit is worth it also
Cheers, Cohan

To fit these is as easy as removing old parts and fitting the new ones. The price seems reasonable. I have used rda rotors before with no problems and EBC is a good brand of brake pad.

If you're spending that much money upgrading your brakes, you really should consider spending the extra on a 380 upgrade. Mitsfix usually sell them for around $550 with new QFM HPX pads and standard RDA rotors. Will offer significantly better braking performance than what you've linked to. The stock calipers and rotors are quite small, so even with good pads and rotors, they're never going to be crash hot. For that reason, I wouldn't go overboard if you decided against the 380 upgrade - I'd just get a good set of pads (eg QFM HPX) and machine the standard rotors.

Hunt out some 380 brakes if you have 16" wheels or bigger, twin piston calipers, larger discs...
Check Mitsfix for a 380 caliper and new rotor and pad combo..

17s would be the minimum wheel you need.. 16s I believe are hit n miss..

what size wheels do you have? AWD twin-pot calipers will fit under 16s

DO NOT get those brakes. I have seen first hand the quality of RDA and they are rubbish! My mates are gold like those and have warped in 5000 ks!
