Hey guys,

today I was adjusting my sunroof when I noticed on the front left corner of the glass panel some rust. Its not on the body of the car, but the metal frame that houses the glass panel. Am I able to replace just the metal frame around the glass panel or do I have to buy a whole new panel?

Appreciate anything anybody has to share about this. Cheers.

Ring around a few wreckers, some may, but some may not due to trying to tell it all as one piece.

Otherwise get a wire brush onto the frame, use rust converter, metal primer, and then top coat it.

You Sir, are a genius.

I'm 99% sure it's one part. Quite expensive too (well over $1000 for a Pajero from memory).

That's only a temporary fix. My old man has done this about three times now, only lasts 12 months.

What did he use? If done properly like any metal surface you would want to get at least 5 years out of it.
