This is such a pain. I want to get that ugly cream coloured interior light off my te so I can paint it. I would just yank it but I don't want to break it. Any ideas?

The centre light or front map lights..?

Take the plastic cover off
Unscrew the two screws.
Unplug it..

It has a plastic cover and if you look closely there are is a space to insert a flat tip to pop the plastic off to get to the screws.

Pick a point halfway between the light and button on either side an stick the edge of a straight screwdriver or similar 1mm under an turn. Screws are on windscreen side of buttons ;)

Just don't do what i did. I had the smart idea to rewire it myself with some of the LED strip i had left over... Could smell burning... Not good. Took off the cover and found a tiny bit of smoke coming from the wires... Ripped them out real quick and havent put in a new bulb because i cant find one that bloody fits.

Dodgy install mate. They should wire in just fine

Just got a sag free hoodlining from a wreckers in Campbelltown and left the light on the seat, bulbs and all Panther_boy. South West Wreckers on Blaxland Rd Campbelltown.

Oooh! Really! I'd love a bulb.

Us NSW peeps need to do a Wreckers day. I think this thread has run its course though. Mods, when you get a chance.

map lights you get some cloth on a flat screwdriver and remove the panel, then you unscrew the unit

center dome light you basically remove the covers and unscrew from the roof
