Hey all,
I posted earlier in the week regarding my recent purchase of a TS v6 auto with the only problem being idle dropping dramatically when the air con was sitched on. So following the direction of Madmax I tested the ISC with a multimeter and it was kaput so I got another one, tested it, looked good and fitted it along with a rubber seal that the previous one was missing. I did disconect the battery and reconect it, started her up, went to about 2000 rpm and slowly levelled out to 1500 rpm over ten minutes. After that I turned the air con on the revs went up to about 1700 ish rpm. So its controlling now but the revs are too high! do I just take it for a drive to let the computer equalise or is this a waste of time? OR should I adjust the idle speed with the screw on the throttle body ? reading the manual there seems to be an involved procedure bridging terminals in the diagnostic plug then bridging the spark advance cut out. this procedure seems easy enough though Im a bit confused what I need to do to bridge the advance cut out plug- I believe I put a lead to the pin in the plug to the earth/body? Bridging the terminals in the diagnostic plug would be easy enough as there only seems to be 4 pins but 12 slots (need to bridge pins 10-12). Well done if you have continued to read this far into the post! some input from people who have come accross this before would be great,
Thanks
