Hi Guys,
any idea how to clean Air pipes, vents - basically un-dust the residue... like they do on service around 90,000km.
since I am allergic and there is no pollen filter in 380 id like to do some own maintenance.
thanks

Air compressor, and back flush - ie blow through the vents in reverse direction to normal. Or perhaps ask a dealer how they do it at 90,000 km. (If you just get a smile, it means they don't bother.)
If the 380 cabin air intake system is the same to the third gen, installing your own pollen filter would be easy, provided you can get suitable material for filtration.

i know there is pollen filter to US Galant... would like to know how to fit it in... the back flush sounds ok - i was thinking about something like chimney brush (smaller tho) and fiddle with it

On the third gen, there is an air intake for the cabin under the leaf guard at the base of the windscreen. It's on the passenger side. It has raised sides to keep water out. Given the right material, you could just cover the opening and fix it on. I would think the US Galant filter would fit straight on.
EDIT: Just did some research, the Galant filter sits behind the glovebox rather than under the leaf guard. It looks like a mini panel style air filter. So unless you want to poke about under the dash to see if there is allowance for such a filter on the Aus 380, a home made one might be easier.
EDIT 2: Might have a look at the 380 manual to see if it has a fitting for such a filter. BRB lol
Nope, just been through Group 55 of the 380 shop manual, which goes through everything under the dash, and there is no filter installed nor is there allowance for one. (If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will flame me. lol)

Surprising they don't do them here
Had a Camry (LHD, but Aus built) and Pug 307 (French build) during our recent stint in Dubai UAE and both had them - so dusty there they needed a 6 month remove and clean and 12 month replacement!

ive got a Air Cleaner spay - Valvoline Pro series... this looks fine... my question is - where are the Inlet air vents located - the fresh air from outside and the Inlet for cabin circulation? also does anyone know how to remove the air outlets so i can clean the ducts... thanks
