Hi Guys,
Have a TJ series 1 manual here.
The speedo doesn't want to play nice at the moment. The tacho, fuel gauge and temperature are all fine. Also the Trip computer doesn't display Instant Fuel and the cruise switches on but won't activate. Tried another cluster to no avail. What could be the problem here?
Any help would be appreciated.

What happened just prior to the speedo breaking?

Doesn't work is a very broad term. Does it not move at all, or does it display false readings?

Most likely your VSS, mine was dead in current gearbox. Replaced and all fixed.

Sorry should have elaborated better. The car is a 3.5 manual and it doesn't work at all, not even the odo. Apologies for the grammer, i'm on my phone

I brought it like that, Life where abouts is the VSS And how much was it? Will one off a 3 litre fit?

Yest will, so will an auto one. It lives on the back of the gearbox right near where the intermediate shaft slots in. Grab or fro a wreckers.shouldn't cost much. I had spares laying around when I did mine.

Is it hard to change a vss?

Wasn't for me, just take the air box off, IIRC it was only one bolt.
