Hey all, I know this has been hammered out so many times people are probably tired of it, but I have battled with this in my mind now for too long cos it can be a costly exercise. I have decided to use a life line and ask the audience with the above multiple choice question... but please weigh up the following before choosing and that I don't want to spend the earth and not get full benefit from the purchase...

This is for a 1997 TF, 3.0L with 209,000kms on the ODO (http://neilk.customer.netspace.net.au/mag.htm)

Ok, I have the following mods already:
Pacemaker Headers
Redback Exhaust
K&N Panel

and I am now just waiting for Trevor at Online Performance Autos to get back to me on fitting an RPW hi-Flow throttle body, after which I will be looking at getting an Engine Control Unit. Now based on the mods I have (and will have including the Hi-flow TB) which option would you recommend?
I am not sure if I will mod any further at this stage (engine wise), if anything, maybe a rebuild or something next year (maybe get it bored to 3.2, honed, polished and with the necessary mods that this entails, if this is at all possible)

Thanks heaps! :D

Sorry this is the first Poll I have done, I didn't realise while I was making it that there were threads being generated.. not sure how that happened... oh well back to the point!

you'll find if you do some handling mods u will enjoy your car that much more

lower it, shocks if needed, strut braces...

engine wise, the list is endless...it all depends on your budget
Yeah, that is happening too thanks... These are just engine mods I am looking at completing for now. I have ordered a strut brace, it has been lowered a little already. Don't about shocks though... cheers and sorry about the moving of your comment!

Well, I didn't want to say what my suspicion would be but it is just about what I expected! Keep voting though and thanks... when I get to 1000 votes I will stop and decide :rofleek:

for the person who voted haltech and for everyone's information;

haltech or any full aftermarket replacment (meaning replacing the OEM ecu entirely) will not work with automatic/semi auto transmissions.

Cheers

Ben.

Can mistu tune it? perhaps they can alter the ign map and fuel map slightly. i suspect they wouldn't be able to do it hardcore or you would be out of the emission limit.

greddy all the way, easily tune-able, lots of add-on components (i think, dont the displays plug straight in?) and available thru RPW with the looms and everything u need

I don't really think anything in the polls is going to catch up with GReddy now! (no surprise really). So it is decided. Thanks all for voting.
Now I am just trying to find info and a good price and it will be a done deal!!!!
Does anyone know where I can buy these units in the eastern suburbs of Vic and get it propery installed/tuned?
Thanks again... I will keep you informed.

Well I have ordered the GReddy EManage!!! Yes it's done!!! :D
It is the main unit with injector and ignition harnesses plus genuine Austrailan Warranty.

I just have to be patient now for delivery!

Does anyone know of a reputable installer and tuner for these units around the eastern suburbs of Victoria?? If you can help, please do or if you can point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated.
Regards.

Hey, I got the EManage today. Bit concerned about finding the money now that I have to scratch up $19,000 for an IT course by mid next month, but am sure I will justify the spending somewhere
I guess I will have to get it tuned and dyno'd at the same place as before and hope they can do a comparison graph... I'll see what can be done. Will let you know.

BTW: My cat gives it the  too!
