Hey,
I have been looking everywhere for a specific guide (video would be even better) on how to replace the RHS headlight assembly on a 2002 TJ Magna Exec. My light collected a large rock which smashed about a two inch hole in the plastic cover. It has since rained while the car was outside and there is now a small swimming pool in my RHS light. Im thinking about buying a goldfish........
I have ordered a new stock light and intend to fit it this weekend. Ive seen some guides for later model magnas which indicate that I may have to take off the front bumper, wheels ect. Im hoping this is not the case as it sounds like a royal pain in the ass.
If anyone has any type of guide, text, pic vid or otherwise for a TJ Exec I would be most grateful.
As an aside i initially went to the Mitsubishi dealership to price a light. They wanted $350 plus $130 for install. I ended up buying the light through an online trader brand new/boxed for $75. Just a minor price difference...
Is pretty simple, is held in by 4 bolts. 2 ontop on the upper rad support and two behind the grill. Just need to remove the grill, pretty simple as just held in by some plastic clips, remove the two bolts holding it in there and the two top ones, give it a slight tug on the grill side to pop the light out, then carefully pull out the wiring.

Nice, hopefully it is actually this simply.
I've found in the past things like this rarely are.

TJ one is pretty simple. As above, remove grille to get to the 2 10 mm bolts, but I remember the 2 10 mm bolts on the side are hidden behind the indicator? Pull the indicator out, let it hang. Undo the 4 bolts. Need to carefully lift the light over the bumper top edge, then pull forward and unplug wiring. Transfer globes, reassemble.
Mine is a series 1, 2001, but I doubt there has been a design change. Plastic front? Mine are glass!
Sorry forgot about those other two!

Thanks for the help.
See how I go after the light arrives.

Yeah I did mine yesterday. The 2 top bolts and 2 inside bolts (hidden by grille) are 10mm hex. The screws behind the indicator are phillips head.
To get my grille off I had to take the little plastic guard between the air intake and front bar.

My front grill is a bastrd to get off. I can see all the clips but they are stuck fast. Worried about snapping the grill or one of the clips if I force it too much.

Clip has a central projection. Push it sideways while pulling gently on the grille. Should just pop off. Transfer the clips back to the bodywork. Later, the grille just pushes onto the clips.

Once you work out how to unclip them correctly, it's easy to pick some up from the wreckers.

Don't just rip off the grille - you need to a flathead screwdriver to push down on the back end of the grille clips. They are designed to be pushed down and then they will come out. Don't force the grille as it will break easily.
Also when removing the light there is a bolt on the underside of the indicator. To get to it - you'll need to remove the splash guard under the car and wheel guards as well.
Theres 2 up top, 2 behind the grill, and one behind the bumper where it meets the guard.
