AMC,

my KF Xi with the factory sunroof is having a few cosmetic downfalls,

the little sliding part underneth the glass is looking quite "bleh" in all its pride. Can this be taken off and cleaned? before i waste an afternoon potentially

following this, one of the black plastic lips around the glass on the inside is coming off from where it should be. (trying to get photos from my iphone onto the computer isnt going to well) It wont click back into place and i was wondering if there is a fix for it?

and lastly, is there a way of reducing the flexing of the sunroof from subwoofer? not in the roof but the actual glass itself.

ill try and get a pic up of the plastic part on the sunroof if it will help anyone better

thanks

Definitely need pics for this one. Also depends if the 'bleh' is just dirty or if it has some sort of plastic fatigue. Either way, taking it off and scrubbing it will at least help a little bit

Yep, I know the black plastic you're talking about. Its just held in by a clip. In fact, you can pull the whole thing off in order to adjust the glass panel. But to get the sunshade slider out, you need to take the roof lining out and unbolt the whole entire sunroof (two man job, trust me).

To clean the top side of the sunshade, which gets dust etc in it, you can simply unscrew the sunroof glass and take it out, this leaving the sunshade in so you can clean the top of it, I have taken the shade out before (to retrim it) it was a full day and you need 2 people to lower it.

As for the plastic things, I know what you mean, short fix will be a piece of 3M double sided tape. New parts are ruinously expensive from Mitsubishi.
