Hey guys, I have a brand new set of ralliart pistons, but the included gudgeon pins show some surface corrosion, to the point where they are useless. Do the standard 3.5l gudgeon pins fit the ralliart piston? Or is it possible to buy these separately somewhere?

Also, is there a different stamping on the so called "fat rods" of the older 3.5l compared to the lighter rods on the newer engine? I have a brand new crate motor here I'm thinking about building up, and if I can get the answers I need, it would be much appreciated.

Ralliart 3.5 gudgeon pins are the same as the stock 3.5 items.

For what your wanting to do with the motor the thin rods would be fine (unless your wanting to build a big boosted monster). Thick rods are about 22mm thick and have 74N marked on them, the thin rods are about 17mm thick and have 74F marked on them. Hopefully that helps you, if not let me know and i'll come up and have a look at the engine for you.

Cheers matey, looks like the ralliart pistons are a go. Not bad for $20...
