Hey guys,
Just looking over some things and was wondering how much wattage the standard alt on a TJ+ can support well?
Is there any aftermarket ones that would work well if i needed more power?
Cheers

Bosch should make one. Why do you need more power.?
I highly doubt you'd need more then the stock one provides, its either 90 or 100 amps (forgot) - Combined with a good battery (yellowtop) you should not experience any issues.

Well depending how much the alt can put out is how much i'll probably be spending on things from the US.
Looking at around the 2000wrms mark for the subs with 2x SKAR 800.1s if the alt can run them, otherwise i'll see if a single 800.1 and AA Chaos 18 will do the job.
2000wrms is fine, I think around 5000wrms is the limit (with dual battery) on 90/100amp alternators. Either way, both figures are huge, anything over 1000wrms is simply not practical for a DD. That kind of power is reserved for SPL (competition) use.

Well i was looking at buying a wagon and putting 1 or 2 18" in a big box between the 2 wheelwells, which would let me have a stack of room for luggage/shopping/other crap and still be way overboard with the amount of bass.
What speakers can you put in the wagon? Is it still 6.5 and 6x9 like the sedans?
Is there a full meter between the 2 wheelwells in the back of a wagon?

Just run two battery's. If you put a second battery in the boot it will make your sub sound incredible. Capacitors are good but a battery under a metre from sub amp is best. Your alternator will be fine running dual battery's.
