One of spark plug leads is very worn, as cool as it looks when the spark travels down the outside of the lead :P . Anyway, Im just wondering where the best place would be to go to buy a replacement? As I don't really want to fork out $150+ for an entire set of new leads, but for now at least, replace one of them that I know is bad. Has any one purchased a single ignition lead for either the 3 litre or 3.5 litre sixes? Any idea how much it'd set me back? And also, the lead that Im replacing is for the front middle cylinder, does any one know what number cylinder this would be?
Cheers.

Any decent car part shop should sell them separately. Just find out why it got busted and ensure it doesn't happen again. Simply measure the current lenght and get one which is bit longer, if u think the original broke due to rubbing on to something.

It may be hard to find a replacement because its a DOHC style plug lead. I have only ever seen the normal 2/3 valve plug leads available singley

Yeah didn't have any luck tracking down a single lead, every where I went said that chances are it isn't possible to get single leads for a multivalve head. In the end I managed to pick up a set of top-gun leads from repco for only $105, they were priced at $117 but old mate gave me a deal and dropped it to $105, so it worked out pretty good. Now I just need a spare few hours so I can replace my rear ignition leads, dam intake runners.

Yeah spark leads, ignition leads, high tension leads....all the same thing just different names. Although mine are a bit different to the leads on your 4 banger. Obviously I need 2 extra making a total of 6, and due to the multivalve head a special type of socket on the end of the lead is needed so the lead can be attached to the spark plug through the rocker cover, there are actual holes or tunnels even, in the rocker cover, that lead to the spark plug holes, these tunnels are about 10 cm in depth, hence why the socket type connection is needed. This is what bumps the price up quite a bit.
