Not sure how to help but just giving heads this could be costly, i used to work in car sales and if a customer lost there keys and spares it would result in locks being changed.

Keys can be ordered from Mits, I can arrange this also for you, depending where you are located I can also arrange a tow to here so I can code the new key / keys for you
As a guide, a new key will cost $140 including programming to your car, if you are not too far I may be able to arrange to come to yours to programme as well ( fee would depend on how far I have to come of course)

Sorry mate, it is nearly 2 hours each way to Romsey, cost would be more than getting it towed I think, you may be best to contact your nearest dealership

I had to do this with a TH magna recently.
Got the key code from Mits over the phone by giving them the vin and owners details. Took the code to Ruswins, who were able to cut a chipped key for $94, but then I had to tow the car to them, so they could code the key to the car which cost another $80.
Ruswins could have come to the car, but that would have cost another $80 for the call out, then the $80 for the coding, plus half an hour of a mechs time for the coding, which they reckoned was $40.

Thanks guys,My nearest dealer isnt too far away so it looks like i will tow it there
On each of my vehicles, I have a spare coded key 'hidden' inside the car. I also have a non-coded key wired underneath the car where I can reach it in an emergency (Should I lose my keys away from home). At least I can then get inside the car without damaging it and then drive home. This saves the cost of getting a tow to my friendly Mits dealer. At least if we are in Woop Woop and lose the keys, we are not stuck there.

If you're comprehensively insured..
Sometimes its cheaper to go that way.. Just a heads up!

I have my spare key at home. If I happen to lose my key it's no biggie, I just have to organise a ride to and from home and grab the spare.

Magic?
Or maybe they had all the details of the car to code it in without the car being present?
Just a guess.

That is strange as it is the car that is coded, not the key
can they make a copy of the key with the exact same code, so the car sees both the keys as the same one?

i believe you can get that done from your local key cutting place. most have a machine that can read the code from the original key and copy it over to a new key.. dunno if it works for magna keys though?
