G'day guys and girls and all in-between.

I'm putting new discs on the car and left rear (which is the one that i thought noise was coming from) was very difficult to get off (the handbrake pads were rubbing hard) and now when im putting the new disc on, the pads seems to move up and down a lot where you wind it out to increase the pads diameter if that makes sense.

So when i go to put the new disc on, it's either too loose or the pads somehow find a way to touch the inside of the disc enough that it wont go on.

Are the pads meant to move that much up and down where you screw it out or is mine ****ed? the other one was just wound out and then it worked fine..

here is where its moving up and down a lot

Simple, back off the adjuster all the way, in the face of the rotor is a 10mm hole for adjusting after is fitted, fit the rotor, leave caliper off, use 2 wheel nuts to hold rotor to hub and adjust as per manual (can use tj as example as is the same)
