I have a TH exec, and I am trying to run cable from the engine bay to the driver footwell. Any ideas? Cheers.

don't put it through the firewall. use grommets in the wheel arches. It's hidden and cops wont pick on you for 'creating a new grommet hole' or cause issues with you jamming the cable into a grommet that is being used.

Hmm, I might try it with the drivers side footwell (otherwise it will be too much screwing around running wires behind the centre cluster). Is removing the wheel a neccessity or can I just remove the guard?

Cheers

Also, does anyone know where the part of the service manual is that shows which cable from the ECU is what? I need to tap into the speed wire, as I'm installing cruise.

its much easier to remove the wheel only takes around 20 seconds anyway :-)

Pretty sure the VSS wire is in the diagnostic plug under left hand side of drivers dash. Was White with a blue trace in later ones and perhaps????? black with red in earlier models

I've temporarily set it all up, spent 20 minutes trying to find the white with a blue stripe wire (found it in another thread) and the CC kit reports it's gettting a speed signal. The only problem now is that the unit isn't maintaining a speed, which I have put down to the vaccum. I tapped into a hose, and it appears to have a vaccum, but it must not be powerful enough.

Is there a particular hose in the engine bay I can connect to for some decent vaccum, or are they all the same?

Disregard the last post, all fixed. Will be giving the removal of the splash guard a go and to see if there's anything in there that will suit. Is there a gromet that goes from this area (inside the guard) to the drivers footwell?

The other option you have is to buy a vacuum tank. These will hold and boost the vacuum for you. Good option when you have a low vacuum source.
