Hi there,

I have been a member for a while, and my dads an avid member of your forums, however I just bought my first car, which is a KE Mitsubishi Verada (picked it up for $3600!)

It's not a bad car, but since I own an iphone and the stock radio doesnt have ipod or usb or even auxiliary connection... I want to replace it, but I need some wise advice on what to do.

Firstly... I dont know what single din, double din etc is... I just need a radio that fits the current space without modifying my entire dashboard.

I dont want speakers, the current stock ones are fine.

I have a budget of maybe... $200... so cheap is fine, don't need the cd player or tapedeck... So suggestions?

I can give more information if nessecary, thanks

double din headunits usually have a screen, singles do not, a quick google search will show

either should fit fine into the verada dash

i got myself a single din Pioneer DEH-8350SD for $199, its got everything youll need except for bluetooth

an upgrade on the stock speakers would be a good place to also start with, even if the stock ones are fine an upgrade is noticeable.

Anything alpine is a winner for me. Sounds like all you need to spend is about $100-$150 to suit your needs. I got mine for $129 and its awesome. Jb hi-fi is a good place to start

Mine is a single din by the way. Double din is usually a premium one that will cost a fortune

Thanks for the quick reply guys, I found a stereo system I like... I am wondering if this would fit the link is uhhh

http://www.jvc.com.au/car/head-units/kw-xr616

JVC's website has it for $299, but I found it for $188, and I found the XR416 model (older model) for $168... Wondering which one i'll get, but will it fit in my type of car? I can supply images of the stock one if nessecary

Most of the units these days will fit they are pretty universal.
