Hi all, I was just wondering what average fuel consumption people get out of a Verada with a light to normal foot around town going by the trip computer, My KH uses about 14 litres per hundred k's and thats driving steady. I thought its a little heavy on fuel, the cars done 225,000 k's, cheers

Around town?, something is wrong, my Ralliart gets that.

No around town. On the highway it is 8.1 - 9.5's, my Ralliart (manual) got down to 8.5 around town on PULP.

Wow that's awesome economy! Reckon best I could get if I really tried would be 10.8...

Really? I thought that was average, I do use full Nulon synthetic oil, in the Ralliart that also had Nulon synthetic in the gearbox. The Verada has regular Auto flush and is running full synthetic LSD oil in the rear diff. Tyre pressures are 38lb all round, running standard rim size and tyre size tyre type ADVANS. Airfilter and plugs changed regularly as are leads and dizzy cap, also change EGS every 100,000.

2002 TJ2 executive 3.5 (226k) with my missus light footed driving gets about 11.5L per 100 around town with a bit of freeway driving. only mod is redback cat back exhaust. standard suspension and 205/65 tyres. your KH sounds about right.
It may need a service and the oxygen sensor checked.
Usually gets better economy in winter due to not having the a/c running.

Hi, thanks for your reply, yes I was thinking the 0xygen sensor maybe be faulty, I will take it to get tested, and I have had my air con on a bit so that may not be helping. cheers Dean
