havent done it myself on a magna , but if you cant get a correct size spanner onto it from the side , then get a long deep socket designed for sensor removal from a parts place. it has a special cutout in the side that wont damage the wire as you remove it.

As above - to get the sensor off - you'll need to use a large enough spanner or a deep enough socket. Try and remove the cable from inside the cabin first so it doesn't put pressure on the weak wires. Don't hold back on the WD40 and be persistent. These things can get really stuck and take a fair effort to get off.

Let your engine cool down before you attempt the job, otherwise fairly straight forward....once you can crack the 'nut' open!
They are easier to remove when hot - this expands the hole where the sensor plugs in - not as user friendly but if you take extra care you won't get burnt.

Not too hot. These kind of parts can get to several hundred degrees. I would rather do it slowly and safely cold than when it is burning hot. (especially when spraying half a can of WD-40 or RP7 on it)

I have the part off the car already. Thanks for the help I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a special thing to do.
