I found a smashed up cow under a locomotive this morning. If I wire that into your car we should see similar results.

On a side note. Look at that eBay page and scroll down to the photo of the carisma. Discuss.

ROFL can't believe you even asked that.

If he doesn't ask he isn't going to learn anything. Everyone's new at some stage.

Most of these 'power chips' rely on fooling the air temp sensors and that type of thing.
Not really going to do much and more likely to harm the engine than be of benefit.

On another note, the first thing I did after seeing the carisma picture is google 'carisma' cause it looked a lot like a modded TJ.

It seems as though it is a different vehicle though.

Yep, get one! I like the line
"PROMAX X-Chip will remap your car engine ECU and release full Potential of the engine."
Bit slack of Mitsu to not "release full Potential of the engine." Very slack, Mitsu! Shame!! This chip puts all tuning shops instantly out of business, and those of you who are trying to put 380 cams in your 3.5s, don't bother, just get this chip!

Honestly, a lot of these chips dump a lot more fuel in when you accelerate, giving a feel of better initial acceleration surge. But to then claim maximum power is increased, while fuel consumption is reduced, is just not logical or accurate. No tech data to back the claims up either. Dyno graphs from a reputable shop would convince me!

I thought the same - maybe it was the "inspiration" for the TJ facelift bonnet look

the same result can be achieved for 5c at jaycar or dick smith. Just put your IAT and intake pipe in the fridge for 10 mins and then measure the resistance and buy a fixed resistor for 5c of the same value. plug it in instead of the IAT.

wont work on mitsi engines though cause they are already efficeient. It is technology reserved for crappadore drivers. wingless sprintcar engines (vn) run them.
