Hi - I have a little pile of dust in my instrument cluster where it gets in through the hole where the trip meter button shaft sticks out through the clear plastic bezel.

1) How difficult is it to get in there to clean the dust out?

2) How can I stop it getting in there in the future?

there is ment to be a rubber gromit that stops it.
my car didnt have one either, i chucked in a sports dash and it had one,
to clean out,
* remove surround (cruise control button)
*you can see the screws that hold the dash in, uncrsrew the 4 (i think )
*pull out, the cluster unplugs.
the front face is held on by clips
