Okay ,with the dollar so good ,Brembos are on the lookout....
So , l can see that the Evo 10 Calipers have longer legs on them to obviously fit larger diameter disc's...
Will these fit onto the Magna ? or even a 380 ?
What is the size of the disc's on the Evo 10 and the 7/8/9 ??
Are the rear calipers the same through the Evo range ?
Will i need the spacer to fit the Evo disc's on the rear of a Magna FWD ?
Is is of any benefits getting the Evo 10 set up ,seeing as if you hunt around you can get a set for almost the same price.

Pretty sure the 10's mounting bolts are a larger diameter. Rotors probably more expensive. Front pads are the same....i'm running some from J's VRX's old 10 ATM.
Have a chat with Jason....he'll fill in the blanks for you!
Evo X front brakes are a direct swap for Evo 6/7/8/9 according to EvoM. Rears simply do not fit.

Evo 10 rotors are 350mm x 32mm. Evo 6,7,8, and 9 rotors are 320mm x 32mm.
Evo 10 calipers use larger diameter mounting bolts but they will fit to a magna stub axle (or earlier evo) by enlarging the mounting holes in the stub by about 1-2mm

Rears fit with the AWD spacer from Hopper Stoppers and new lines I'm pretty sure.
6-9 fronts are bolt on, you just have to take the dust cover off.

I think Michael is jealous of my purchase =P
Ill let you know about my troubles with mine! Really wanna see if the standard lines match up

Is this easy to do?
I think the larger rotor size may help my wheels clear the caliper as they are of concave design.

Bear in mind that the Evo X Brembos will require you to wear 18 inch or larger rims (with the appropriate offset and spoke design). Consider what will happen though, if you get a flat and have to rely on the spare ..
All earlier Evo Brembos fit under 17's (again, with the appropriate offset and spoke design).
What wheels you gonna run Mike? I can come visit if you wanna test fit a wheel youre unsure of.

Well i do have a spare wheel that i was just going to lend you next time i saw you so you could test fit it at your leisure,or next meet i will bring it out..
You have seen the wheels i have ,they have a very flat ,deep spoke on them

So Dean, I see you have done this conversion....NOT....I guess you will use a fingernail file to enlarge the hub mounting holes and still get this spot on. Please in future dont post your "knowledge" unless you have actually done the job and leave it to those who have.
Wiggles, the std Brembo lines for the fronts will fit from memory when I have done them but the rears you need to have made up. Also the rear you will need to cut the rear backing plate or do what I do and remove it all together.
Also Dean, why
Rears simply do not fit.???????

Im pretty sure that Dean is correct and it is the Evo X rear calipers that wont fit up.
Its just the way it is written and read that one could presume that the Evo 8/9 rears wont fit.
I read several articles saying that the Evo X fronts would fit ,but not the rears

Mike, as posted previously, the X fronts will fit, if you're going to enlarge your mounting points on the hub.
It's not a straight bolt-on job by any means, however. I personally would be removing the hubs to enlarge the holes, probably at engineering joint to make sure that they're correctly aligned.
Also, where are you finding your parts? I haven't seen any Evo X Brembo's for anywhere near what 6 - 9 stuff costs! lol

sure the X stuff is dearer, but ,as pointed out ,the X rears dont fit ,
so it could be possible to by a set of X fronts (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-2010-MITSUBISHI-LANCER-EVOLUTION-X-FRONT-BREMBO-BRAKE-CALIPERS-CZ4A-EVOX-/290666359931?hash=item43ad10ac7b&item=290666359931&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr)
and a set of 8/9 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/03-04-05-06-MITSUBISHI-LANCER-EVOLUTION-MR-BREMBO-REAR-BRAKE-CALIPERS-EVO9-EVO8-/290677696242?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43adbda6f2)rears and make up a set

Can some one please put up the part numbers required for the rotors front and rear..
Evo X fronts,
Evo 8/9 Fronts
Evo 8/9 for the rears that will fit onto the Magna
What are the actual diameters of the front and rear rotors ?
DBA/RDA ??
and has anyone yet fitted a set of Brembos to a 380 ?

Sorry to drag up an old thread but did anyone have answers to some of Mikes questions? I'm more curious as to if any differences between the 5/6/7/8/9 brakes...

should be all the same

All the Brembo ones 5-9 are the same....10's are different but pads are the same.
Fronts on my AWD were bolt on including the Evo lines. Rears needed shorter caliper mount bolts, so as not to foul on the rotors & custom lines (240mm min).
Edit.....keep caliper to wheel clearance in mind!

I learnt this the hard way, installed my new front brembos, went to put my wheels back on a was like dam. So new wheels are on their way :).

Bought Evo X front and rear Brembos with rotors from the USA. Cheaper than getting it local. The rotors are 2 piece as well 32mm x 350mm diameter. Braking is sensational without shudder and no heat fade. Mounting bolts had to be enlarged to 14mm. I'm an ex fitter so was an easy job, then it all bolted straight onto the fronts of my AWD TL.
The Evo X rears are a bust. They simply are totally different to Evo 6-9 which are 300mm diameter and apparently bolt straight up with minimal fuss.
Would highly recommend Evo X for fronts if you have wheels that clear otherwise I'd just go for 380 upgrade with high performance pad.
Check out my photos to see Evo X fronts.
