What is the best pod filter for a 2003 TJ vr-x and what is a good price to pay

you need this: Oval K&N POD CAI

get a replacement panel filter, it will complement the rear sport muffler nicely, without voiding any warranty.. :D

or you could still do it, and then when you take it in for a service or anything official like that, just replace the stock box. duh.

if its going onto a round pipe, i cant see why a round filter isnt just as good? i thought the oval pod was designed specially to mate up to the MAF :confused:

the design of the oval pod is mainly for the airflow specifically for the MAS sensor. airflow need to flow in straight rather than swirl like the round pod does......yes? no? :P

Yes :D

Number One : Mitsu warranties their vehicles IF the mod is not the cause of the damage. If you have a POD and your valve springs fail, you will still be under warranty for the valve springs IF (And mostly like it will not be caused by the POD) it's failure is unrelated to the POD.

Number Two : Me and 2much have tested different PODs that are not Oval for the Mitsu MAS and we had no problems running the car, Nick(2much) ran a round POD and I ran an Apexi POD...
