Anyone know of a good cheap mechanic in Adelaide. I have to get my trans overhauled or perhaps a changeover. And have the motor seen to (Blowing white smoke on take off when warm and cold) But can only afford to have one thing done till next tax time

Try Shell Auto Car Modbury North (clovercrest). The guys there are decent blokes and will tell it to you straight.

Graham West Auto on Marion Road seems pretty good also. Portside Mitsubishi has also been doing a good job with the people I know. Best thing to do is to go in and have a look, speak to the mechanic who is actually going to work on your car and make up your mind from there.
