Fog lights - where do I get these from? Or, where do I get these from at a respectable price. Mitsubishi want $415 per side.

I did see a set of aftermarket fog lights on eBay (missed out by one day). I then chased up a set directly through the manufacturer, DLAA in China. Got the run around before being told to sit and wait.

I've searched wreckers in Australia and America. Zip. Well, I did get sent a set of TJ fog lights. Which just increased my frustration.

So, is there a magical source of fog lights out there? Of do I pay the $930 at Mitsubishi?

Try ebay usa > eBay USA (http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Fog-Driving-Lights-/33709/i.html?Make=Mitsubishi&Model=Diamante&Model%2520Year=2003-2005&Placement%2520on%2520Vehicle=Front&_trkparms=65%253A15%257C39%253A1&rt=nc&_catref=1&_dmpt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245.l1513&_pgn=1) <

Serious....there isnt ONE thing on that listing that is relevant to what the OP is after.

Just a suggestion, if foggies are that expensive, would you consider replacing them with daytime running lights? SH00T did it on his TW and it looks great. And DRLs are probably going to be more useful than foggies in Queensland....

Because unfortunately there isn't the magic source of fog lights that you're after. Wreckers and Mits are your choices really.

Its pretty cheap too, you could probably land the pack for under 120 to australia, and when people going the other way, that have aftermarket LED's fitted, the looks on their faces, pure envy, these things are bright....And legal to use all the time....
No switches, no stalks to buy, easy install, recommend.

+ 1 for DRL's!

i bought these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubishi-Magna-TL-TW-Sedan-03-05-LED-DRL-Round-Shape-fog-lamp-White-Daylight-/220874397513?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item336d23d749 and fitted them into where my brake ducts go. Great colour and really bright! have a look in my ride thread for some pics :)

Thanks everyone for the replies and pic's - very helpful.

Thanks to Prowler for the link. While my aim is to bring the car back to "standard GTVi" spec (in appearance), I was looking at some sort of LED DRL for the interim. Adapting something to the existing fog light cover plates essentially.

These LED's in the pics are crazy bright - much more than I expected from LED's... do they throw much light? As in "usable" light?

Mine certainly do, I have 8000K HIDS in my low beams with these LED's down low, They are 6000k. If I switch OFF my low beam and keep the LED's on they reflect off street signs just like HID's do. If ya want I could get a picture for you??

If you want more light, get better lights, Foggies look cool, but attract the wrong kind of attention, and could cost you, if you hit a bored Mr Plod. Let alone piss off other drivers....

The LED's I have are 850 Lumen (IIRC) with a 4300k colour temp....they are there for ppl to see you, and they do that very well. They are not a driving light/foglight..... And you cant drive by them, the beam is concentrated and has no spread....
K (kelvin) is just the color, it has nothing to with light output, but the lumens are better at around 4300k anyway.....

They look worse in the pic than what they are, because my camera flashed. I was running late for work, and didnt have time to get a better pic.
