Hi fellas,

Well not so much a problem but a head scratch.

My wife's KJ Series 2 Verada EI seems to have about another 2-3 inches
more legroom then my KL XI?? Dont know how this can be possible but
being a tall guy I notice it alot, the KJ is more comfy to drive.

Would it come down to the leather seats on my XI?? Surely not, any
help much welcome

The KJ has electric drivers seat as well, so could it be just the leather?? Quite a bit of difference, doesnt seem right

It is because the seat design is very different. The electric KE-KJ2 seats have a little bit further travel than the manual ones it feels, and the KL onwards have different seat rails AFAIK so that would be the answer.

As you may have found, the KL seat motors operate a little differently too. E.g, they tilt the whole seat as opposed to just the base of it.

That would be your answer.

Well the TL/TW magna's were meant to have more rear legroom space than the previous 3rd gen's. The seats were designed in a way that allowed a few more inches of clearance at the back as many complained that it is a little tight in the back. I've never had a problem being a backseat passenger in a magna but I'm pretty short.

Know what you mean about the tilting, must be it. Just cant get enough out of the KL to make it a little more roomy, BUGGER

It's a pity MMA didn't add a few inches to the Verada for a true LWB limo version.

Even my KS v6Xi had drivers electric seat. All Xis had electric drivers seats. Anyhow, try raising the front and lowering the back of the cushion to get a bit more room. BTW, the extra room in the rear is due the the caved in style of the front seat backs.

I put my KJ GTV seats in last night. I've noticed the seat foam is about an inch lower then KL equiv.

The bigger bumpers is not to make it look longer but for low speed impact damage minimisation as was mandated by the US government.
