K guys lets see who is faster, the collective wisdom of the AMC or my father in laws mechanic. The wife's TJ is idle is very rough. It's shakes the car slightly then it drops off... This cycles to a count of 6. I thought it might be a timing issue, changed the timing held, dizzy and cap, new roater button and leads. Also swapped out the air flow regulator. New spark plugs etc... Problem persists... Ideas???

Think of the idle as "throbbing"

Sounds like it may be set a little too low and hunting then. Is the idle at a stable ~700rpm?

Get the throbbing anywhere under 1000rpm. Wife is pissed, still no car, says he couldn't find the plug for diagnostics. Apparently pulled some parts out to "find" it.
