How do I remove the mirror from the inside of the windscreen? I need to fix a rattle. Does it clip on or slide on?
Cheers.

It clips on. Whatever you do, don't yank at the mirror, as you will destroy your windscreen.

Flat bladed screwdriver, from the top I think. Once the clip is pushed in, the mount slides upwards. Don't try to remove the pad left on the windshield. The glue is stronger than the glass. lol

If its the same bastard rattle that I have (every time my ridiculous sub woofer gets its freak on, the windshield buzzes like a mosquito), I gave up and "fixed" mine by cramming a squishy foam stress toy between the mirror and the windshield :P

This was the only solution that made the mirror still adjustable for the wife, and not rattly for me :D

Thanks Madmax. Nah my mirror glass is rattling in the surround itself. I'll sort it though.

Definitally, I use flat blade screwdriver that I bent to get better access, wouldnt budge after trying for an hour so I sprayed wd40 in there & let it sink in over night, that worked a treat:happy:

Mine does exactly the same thing, and not only that, the reflective lining is pulling away from the glass. Time for a new mirror.

Mine too. I had a new screen fitted, recycled the old mirror despite the peeling. Broke the little tang off so the mirror just sits there, and slides on and off easily. Might do that with a new one - if I ever get around to it. lol
