Have a VRX series 3 2007, would installing a berklee BS0655 muffler be an upgrade to my existing system or just leave it as it is...will be installing extractors at a later date. all your help very welcome...

I have 2007 series 3 ES I have berklee BSO655 Free Flow Upgrade. I noticed More acceleration and Better economy. Ive been led to believe VRX identical muffler to ES being TRI chamber restrictive just different tip. Sound improves after couple months. Worth considering Air Intake US Galant 90 m upgrade and K&N filter.

The same stock muffler is fitted to all 380s regardless of year or model. The only differences are the pov pack round black tip v the SX/VRX/GT chrome oval tip, and the TMR 380 with twin (but still the same) mufflers.
It's a 'tri-flow' muffler not straight through like the Berklee BS0655, but it flows pretty good for a stock muffler. I have a pair of them fitted and I didn't notice any drop in performance from a pair of Lukey straight through mufflers, just a bit less noise.

Thanks for your help the berklee sounds good to me...just one more thing, could I adapt the existing fittings from the old muffler to the berklee type by just cutting off & rewelding...it seems like a quick bolt off/on kind of setup.

My exhaust guy cut out my old muffler, cut the tip off it, then welded the tip back onto the new Berklee and then welded the Berklee back onto the pipe. Easy peasy.

My exhaust Bloke remade complete rear section so bolt on job without cutting anything off original. I asked him if he had another flange off another car even old one. He did in scrap pile cost extra $25 but i still have stock section if ever need it or sell car. All up with Tip was $300. Another thing now from flange 2.5 inch where as restricted before to about 21/4 just before muffler.
