Lol the cops would throw a fit here in America, but I'd love that! Too bad you have to have a digital tv converter here. You could try looking up the brand & model on google see what other people say. Usually you can find out the tricks they tried.

I have a a Pioneer TV module in my car. Works brilliantly, but only where Analogue is still functional sadly.
Is great watching the news on the way to work.

I have had a Pioneer AVH-P6850DVD which I purchased new around 5 years ago. Pretty sure you cannot get them now.

You can never get decent reception on those things. I had a car tv in my old commodore and the signal was always poor.
Shouldnt be looking at it when driving either. tut tut tut.

I've had one of these units in the past and as above - reception is very poor with them. I used an old antenna lying around the house and even at around 80cm high it still was pretty crap reception - half the channels didn't get picked up by the unit.
Also - be aware that pretty much all of the double din units around are picking up analogue transmission tv. Analogue is being phased out over the next two years with some area's already having analogue turned off, so the unit's functionality as a tv will become useless. There's very few digital ones out there currently.
There are a few options however. These units usually have a AV input so what you do is a get a cheap Thompson set-top box from Kmart (this one (http://shop.kmart.com.au/product/high-definition-set-top-box-dh1685/114336)). They are quite small for a set-top box being only about 3"x1.5" in size and only need 5v DC to run. Hook this up to your car's battery with a step down transformer or find a 5v power source in the car, and then use the RCA AV input on the headunit to receive the feed from the set-top box. You'll need to have some sort of setup where the IR sensor for the remote is in a accessible location so you can change channels and alter settings etc.

I've got a digital TV 2din unit, 7" screen, does it all thing. I get reception about 40k from towers, when I had the antennae mounted in back window. I moved it to the front and it is not as good now, but that was because of roof lining replacement. Not to fussed, as I very rarely if ever use the TV aspect of it anyway.

Kenwood DDIN with HI TV Pure from 5 years ago. picks up many Digital channels depending on location . Sydney works ok but generally if you cruise alot you need to re-scan to pick up more towers.Antenna on windscreen and magnetic boot mounted phone looking antenna. In traffic it breaks the boredom and a touch on the wheel it goes to NAV or some other mode. Obviously you are a sitting duck with it on at night but not in daylight so much.I dont know how much they have improved in performance now
