Hey Guys,

The Locksmith has told me that some 'pins' have dropped in the Key barrell and thats why im unable to lock my car from the drivers side... (Currently having to walk to the passenger side to lock/unlock as my centrel locking doesnt work either)

Anyways just wondering if you guys now how to take it out of the door??? Ive got the inside door trim off but now Im stuck.

Reason Im taking it out is because its like a $200 fee for them to do it.

Cheers Guys.

Rob.

try a bit of wd 40 in the lock first, mine did a similar thing a while ago. failing that i might be able to pop around and give you a hand

The lock barrel comes out with the handle.

To take the handle out, you will need to have the window up, the trim removed and a 10mm ring(ratchet preferred) spanner and a long socket of 10mm.

Undo the levers for the central locking unit and the handle can come out.

What can happen is there are little springs that may have come out so the tumbler pins have dropped or siezed. pulling the lock apart, you can replace the springs or relube them maybe.
