hey guys...
the other day i took my partners te magna 3.0l auto for a quick run into town.
I just got the car up around 100km on the open road and all of a sudden there was a pretty loud bang that sounded like it came from around the gear box..next thing i lost power and the gear indicator on the dash started flashing on neutral even though it was still in drive...the kickdown wouldnt work either..
i limped the car home and it felt like the handbrake was on...
didnt touch the car again for around 2 days and it is running perfectly and hasnt done it again for about 4 days now...
does anyone have any ideas or has anyone experienced the same issue?

btw....the transmission fluid has been checked and it has plenty of oil and the oil looks nice and red

Maybe try running a fault code check....I'd imagine it would have left one as it sounds like the car went into Limp Home Mode. Apart from that, I've seen a similar problem on this forum before so hopefully someone will pin it down. (dont remember the details)

Perhaps it ripped off a chunk of the wave spring and it got jammed in there somehow? Can't think of anything that could cause that.
