Hi all,
I removed a kid's car seat from the passenger side of our 380 GT yesterday. The rear anchor straps had been pushing into the top of the head rest and now there are two seat belt grooves in the leather. Will the foam be likely to reform back to the original shape with time? Has anyone had this issue before?

Id say it should do over time. With the car parked outside with the heat inside the cabin i think it'll help

I've had the same with mine. It does return to normal after time. Maybe you could speed things up with a hairdryer on hot?

Yes I have this problem with my rear headrest too, I took the car seat out and used some leather conditioner then left the seat out over night. Seemed to come good by the next day.

If its going to be in the son, some Bowdens Own - Leather Love will save the leather from cracking etc. in the long run.

90% out. Seems to have some residual indents, nothing major. Maybe just needs more time.

Have you put some leather conditioner on it?

Yes, has a couple of thick coats of leather conditioner. I fear the residual marks may persist, the seat was in for a long time. It isn't that bad but have smarties squashed into the seat base stitching now. Kids !

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but the marks in the headrest have finally come out! Only took one year.
A few things I have realised though. The rear headrests on the GT are vinyl. The seat sides and rear of front seats are also vinyl. Not sure about front headrests as I replaced them with DVD player headrests. Probably only about 50% of the seats are leather. This is apparently not unusual with Ford, Holden and Toyota using combination seats on their upper specs models. I think Toyota recently had to apologise for not making this apparent and Holden I think refer to them as "leather appointed" seats. Hyundai call theirs "leatherette".
I noticed this after putting on some new leather treatment and it soaked into the leather but not the vinyl. Made the two materials look different.
Does anyone know if the Verada leather interior was "proper" leather?
