Is it possable to use Elite power windows in my TP? i found a wreck of an elite with everything less gear box :) ill try get it off them for nix

should b able too swap everything over. they are the same car pretty much. the elante's had the same efi engine as all the rest. only diff was their suspension setup (more sporty apparently) and their kit and spoiler etc. same doors (same shell) so yeah u can swap them and have power windows.

except the interior door trim may not be the same as the one you ahve now so itd look dorky.

I was thinking of getting the power windows off my gfs stepdads SE however the interior wasnt velour so the interior door trims would look really out of place. Im waiting to see if i can get the interior door trims first.

sure is possable BCX7 on the forums has done it, he was giving a TN elite, ive seen it too he did a good job im sure he'll detail it abit when hes online next time

I also managed to get the factory cruise control off of it which ive instled but im having a probelm withe the wireing but when i get a free day ill sort it out :)

well im shooting to get the whole car only thing its missing is the auto box, wont get my hopes up untill i know its a done deal

yes, indeed... i had a TN elite and put power mirrors and power windows into my TM SE...

If you like, I can probably make a write up about it... It's pretty straight forward.

The door trims are a little different - two differences being the originals have a small hole cut for the plastic thingy with the power window switch on it and they have a hole for the window winder

I used my original door trim (cos of the colour) and cut holes for the larger plastic things that the window switches are on... and i'm putting tweeters in the window winder holes...

scored the whole car $180 :) less auto transmission, he said the only reason its parked is he couldnt find an auto to fit everything else was perfect, im mainly getting it for the insides blue seats trims windows etc, 1st thing im doing is swapping the rims see the post your ride thread those hubcaps of mine have got to go..

finally after much stuffing around the elite is in my drive :D at the end of the day it cost me $150.00 if im going to do the power windows ill be using the power window door trim as i plan to steal the seats also as they make mine look like **** and i have good ones, keeping in mind the dash conversion too digital i tossed the F*&^ed auto in the boot as i didnt know if it had part of the pulse generator in it or not, now mines a manual is there any trick to this pulse generator off this outo? or it will bolt onto the top of the manual box?

a how to would be great for the windows too :D im a little pissed as i poped the bonnet and no MAF no airfilter bell grr but the rest of the motor is there didnt check the boot maybe its in there he he couldnt have happened at a better time split the frount muffler on my TP the other week and the drivers side CV is clicking when i turn left (one to many burnouts) exhaust system on this one is the same and it has a good pair of cv's alread out and in the boot :) so rite there the car has paid for itself
