Hey guys,
I have a slight problem with my '98 TF Magna and I'm just wanting to see what you guys recommend I do.
A few days ago my car was running beautifully, I turn the car off and run into the house to get something which took about a minute thirty and when I came back to my car to start it and it just wouldn't start.. All the accessory lights were dim and the car didn't even try to start at all.. So we jumped started the car and it started running then because the ecu reset it stalled when I changed from reverse to drive and wouldn't start again.. So then after extensive pushing we got it near a PowerPoint and put it on a charger until it said the battery was full and once again, it didn't start... So what I'm wondering is does anyone know what is wrong with it? And how to fix it cheaply because a poor uni students budget isn't too high.
Any help would be great!
Cheers

You could try cleaning the battery terminals, but it sounds like an open circuit battery.

Need new one. Borrow one if you can.

You need to get a cheap new battery mate. Nothing else you can do. Where in NSW are you?

If you're really tight on money then head to your local Pick-a-part wreckers. They usually have batteries for cheap. Don't expect them to last the next 3 years but it could get you buy for the next 6-12 months. In that time - start saving around $140 and buy a proper battery.

3 months maximum, is the best I got out of second hand batteries. Much better off with a cheap 300 CCA battery, it will turn the engine over slowly, but it will start.
